World Cup votes to go ahead
Fifa president Sepp Blatter has confirmed the voting for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup hosts will go ahead as scheduled.
The vote, where England hope to be named 2018 hosts, will take place in Zurich on 2nd December, despite high-profile allegations that the bidding process was subject to vote-selling by two Fifa executive committee members.
There were also allegations of collusion between two of the rival bidders.
Both scandals are being officially investigated by the governing body next month, with the findings being announced on 17th November.
“The ethics committee will announce its verdict on November 17,” Blatter said.
“This is enough time to take adequate steps if something serious should happen at the meeting.”
